The Health Equity Champion Pledge is about taking action to eliminate equity-driven health disparities across South Carolina.

Councilwoman
City of ColumbiaDr. Aditi Bussells currently serves as a Councilwoman for the Columbia City Council. She is also a seasoned management consultant, who prioritizes health equity and public health in her work. With expertise spanning policy, non-profit, and industry sectors, she focuses on child health, risk behavior prevention, and adverse childhood experiences. As Chair of the Health, Social, and Environmental Affairs Committee, she drives initiatives to create more equitable and inclusive societies. Recognized for her dedication, she has been honored by Columbia Business Monthly, The State Newspaper, and the Honorary Jim Clyburn for her impactful contributions to health equity research.

We invite dynamic individuals to contribute their expertise, insights, and innovative solutions to foster a healthier and more equitable South Carolina.

The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina is excited to announce the launch of the Health Equity Champion Award Program. The awards will celebrate and honor individuals, institutions, or initiatives that have made significant strides in reducing disparities in healthcare access, outcomes, and overall well-being. It underscores the importance of achieving equitable health outcomes for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, age, or other factors.
