The Alliance Recognizes 2026 Health Equity Award Winners

Columbia, SC — The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina recognized three outstanding champions of health equity at the 2026 Health for All Summit, held on April 14, 2026, in Columbia. This year’s gathering brought together health professionals, advocates, and changemakers from across the state, united by a shared commitment to advancing health through partnership, collaboration, and innovation.

Health Equity Circle of Champions Award

This award honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in advancing health equity and reducing health disparities.

Dr. Kari-Claudia Allen Harrington, board-certified family medicine physician at Prisma Health and faculty member at the USC School of Medicine, was recognized for her leadership in advancing equity in medical education and clinical practice. Her work has strengthened diversity in physician training and contributed to the development of a nationally recognized racial justice curriculum.

Suzanne Wilson, Assistant Vice President for Population Health at AnMed and CEO of Piedmont Health Partners, was honored for her leadership in aligning healthcare strategy with the needs of underserved communities. Her work continues to expand access to care and improve outcomes through coordinated, community-focused initiatives.

Dr. John H. Dozier, President of Columbia College, was recognized for his leadership in advancing health equity through education and community partnership. His efforts have strengthened workforce pathways and expanded access to care in underserved communities across the region.

The 2026 Health for All Summit, themed Transforming Health Through Partnership, Collaboration, & Innovation, brought together hundreds of leaders and partners committed to improving health outcomes across South Carolina. Through inspiring sessions, shared best practices, and meaningful dialogue, the conference continues to serve as a catalyst for collective impact.
