The Alliance Welcomes Beth Rogers Benzing as Director of Development & Engagement
A native of Irmo, South Carolina, Beth is passionate about facilitating systemic change in her home state via policy, programming, and partnerships. She is a 2010 graduate of The University of South Carolina with dual degrees in English and Women's and Gender Studies; she also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies from USC in 2013 and a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Clemson University in 2019. Beth has over 15 years of progressive experience in the public sector, covering the spectrum from fundraising to operations. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and received the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in 2023. Beth is the proud mother of 2 boys, Samuel and Alden, and one very old Springer Spaniel, Zelda. Her favorite hobbies include hiking, LEGO, crocheting, searching for the state's best boiled peanuts, and anything Tolkien-related. She is humbled and honored to help shape the future of The Alliance for a Healthier SC as the Director of Development and Engagement.
