Letter from the Executive Director: From Planning to Implementation

South Carolina doesn’t need more plans—it needs action.

Over the past year, partners across the state helped establish shared priorities for improving health, including the release of the 2025–2030 State Health Improvement Plan. In 2026, the focus shifts from planning to implementation—strengthening alignment, building capacity, and supporting coordinated action across communities and regions.

In 2026, the Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina will focus on:

  • Supporting implementation of shared health priorities, including those outlined in the State Health Improvement Plan

  • Building infrastructure and capacity to align community health improvement efforts

  • Providing shared tools, data, and learning spaces to support accountability and progress

  • Spotlighting and aligning effective improvement efforts across South Carolina

The Alliance serves as a neutral convener—connecting organizations, supporting shared understanding, and helping partners move forward together. This work depends on the leadership and commitment of our members and partners across the state.

We look forward to building this next phase together and turning shared priorities into shared progress in 2026.
