The Alliance Announces 2025 Live Healthy SC Award Winners
The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina is pleased to announce the winners of the Live Healthy SC Awards. The Live Healthy SC Award recognizes the organizations and leaders that exemplify the highest levels of commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of communities they serve.
DR. RICK FOSTER LEADERSHIP AWARD recognizes an individual who has served as a champion for health and health equity at a local, regional, or state level. This year’s recipient is Jessica Seel. Mrs. Seel serves as the Director of Behavioral Health Initiatives & Workforce Development at the SC Office of Rural Health where she works to break down barriers to mental health services and challenge stigma surrounding mental illness and substance use in rural areas.
COMMUNITY INNOVATION AWARD recognizes community coalition or community-based organization who demonstrates active engagement in leading and guiding innovative work for community health improvement and the elimination of health disparities. This year’s recipient is Rise Up Richland. Rise Up Richland focuses on closing socioeconomic and racial gaps in health by uniting local leaders and residents to drive systemic change across the county.
STATE IMPACT AWARD recognizes a state level organization or coalition who demonstrates a commitment to support and takes action under the Live Healthy plan, using a collaborative approach for state health improvement. This year’s recipient is the SC Telehealth Alliance. The SC Telehealth Alliance expands access to quality, cost-effective health care statewide by advancing telehealth technology, strategy, and standards.
The award winners were announced at an awards ceremony during the 8th Annual Live Healthy SC Meeting in Columbia, SC on November 7th.
