The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina Welcomes New Chair

Columbia, SC, February 9, 2024 - The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina proudly announces Marisette Hasan as its new Chair. Hasan brings extensive experience and a proven commitment to advancing health equity, making her an ideal leader to drive the Alliance's mission forward.

"As someone deeply committed to ensuring equitable access to healthcare, I am honored to take on the role of Chair for the Alliance," said Marisette Hasan. "I look forward to working collaboratively with stakeholders to address the unique health challenges facing South Carolina's communities and to create a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive."

Leading the SC Coalition for the Care of the Seriously Ill, Hasan has demonstrated a passionate dedication to supporting hospice and palliative care providers, advocating for increased access, and addressing end-of-life disparities in underserved communities.

Having previously served as Vice-Chair of the Alliance, Hasan has provided invaluable strategic guidance and leadership in collaborative health improvement initiatives.
